The ATS CryoMaze™ Surgical Ablation System, the first two-in-one convertible heart ablation system offering a clamp (ATS FrostByte) and surgical probes (ATS CryoMaze™ 7cm and ATS CryoMaze™ 10cm) which are indicated for minimally invasive cardiac surgery procedures, including treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, allows the cardiac surgeon to accelerate lesion formation and provides greater ease of use.
ATS CryoMaze
7cm and 10cm Probes
To be used alone or with the ATS FrostByte® Clamp, ATS CryoMaze 7cm and ATS CryoMaze 10cm Probes are malleable, single-use cryosurgical probes developed to treat cardiac arrhythmias during heart surgery. Both ablate cardiac tissue during the primary cardiac surgical procedure, e.g., coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) or mitral valve replacement and/or repair.
- Easy to use
- Malleable shaft and flexible tip with adjustable insulation sleeve allow ablation zone between 0 and 70 mm (7cm) or 25 and 100 mm (10cm)
- For creation of all Maze III lesions
- Can be configured to produce ideal ablation lines
- Accurate placement of lesion with tip adherence
- Adjustable insulation sleeve prevents accidental tissue damage
- No burning or charring
- Cold energy system minimizes risk of endocardial thrombus associated with heat-based energy sources1
- Preserves tissue integrity
- Usable on beating or arrested heart to perform all generally accepted lesion sets
- Versatile enough to be used endocardially and epicardially via sternotomy, thoracotomy or port access
- Combines traditional safety of cryoenergy with speed and flexibility required by today’s surgeons
ATS FrostByte Clamp
The ATS FrostByte Clamp, for use with the 7cm ATS CryoMaze Probe, is designed to secure the contact point between the cryoablation probe segment and the cardiac tissue, improving effectiveness and reducing procedure time.
ATS FrostByte Clamp and ATS CryoMaze Probe used together:
- Complete all lesion lines efficiently
- Are versatile for all approaches including open and closed heart, beating and stopped heart
- Are transmural in one minute in open heart
- Have adjustable temperature and dosing for maximum flexibility and precision down to –150ºC
- Allow lesion placement certainty and ability to manipulate heart tissue
- Have adjustable insulation sheath permitting ablation zone between 0 to 70 mm
- Have a malleable cryoablation segment that easily shapes to heart structures
